Reading High senior Lonnie Walker opted to stay with his high school team even when people told him he needed to transfer to a powerhouse program. The Miami recruit once again has Reading thinking about a state title run in 2016-17.


Central York is holding a ticket pre-sale for Friday's District 3 Class 6A boys' basketball tournament quarterfinal against Reading.

Tickets will be sold 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the high school lobby. Tickets cost $6 for adults and $4 for students.

Friday's quarterfinal is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Reading High School. The top-seeded Red Knights feature University of Miami recruit Lonnie Walker.

Central York enters as the No. 9 seed and reached the quarterfinal by beating No. 8 Cedar Crest on Tuesday.
