Roundup: Brooks carries Spring Grove to final


After a slow start in the opener of the Warwick holiday tournament, Spring Grove's offense clicked into gear in a 54-42 victory against Lancaster Catholic in Saturday's boys' basketball action.

Eli Brooks led the charge on offense with 28 points. He is now 15 points shy of 1,000 for his career.

Darin Gordon added 13 points for the Rockets. The Crusaders were led by Thomas Gonzales with 10 points.

Spring Grove advances to the tournament championship game at 8 p.m. Monday against Warwick, which earned a 76-54 win against Twin Valley in the other first-round game.
