Jahaire Wilson a third team All-State selection in boys' basketball
HARRISBURG >> William Penn High School standout Jahaire Wilson was named a 2014-15 Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Boys' Basketball third team selection on Thursday.
Wilson, who averaged 18.1 points per game as a senior with the Bearcats, was a top player on the YAIAA's top team. The Bearcats won the YAIAA championship, the Class AAAA District 3 championship and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.
Two players from the Hilda Goodling Impact Academy also received all-state recognition. Impact senior Juwan Gooding was named to the Class A second team after a district championship run. Impact withdrew from the PIAA tournament shortly after its district final win, and the school closed after that. Gooding averaged 23.8 points per game.
Also, Caesar DeJesus of Impact's prep team received second-team all-state honors in Class A. DeJesus committed to Southern Miss earlier this season and averaged 23.4 points while playing against other college preparatory teams across the region.
Below is a complete list of the 2014-15 Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Boys' Basketball teams, including each player's school, height, class and scoring average.
