The William Penn's boys' basketball team will play Steel-High at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, William Penn athletic director Ron Coursey verified Tuesday.
The non-conference game between two District 3 opponents is being played as part of the Sixers' "Court of Dreams" program. The two high school teams will play before the 7 p.m. NBA game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks.
Tickets to the game will cover both the William Penn basketball game as well as the NBA contest afterwards. Coursey finalized a deal in April to take the William Penn team to Philadelphia for a game after meeting with members of the 76ers management in Philadelphia.
