Tickets on sale for William Penn hoops game in Philadelphia

Tickets are now on sale for the Jan. 11 high school boys' basketball game between William Penn and Steel-High, which will be played at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Fans can purchase tickets online at www.groupmatics.events/#/event/HSShowcase. Fans that buy tickets for the 3 p.m. high school contest can also attend that evening's New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers game at Wells Fargo Center.

While there will be open seating for the William Penn game in the afternoon, fans will be assigned seats for the NBA game that evening.

The high school game will feature two District 3 opponents, and is being played as part of the Sixers' "Court of Dreams" program.

William Penn athletic director Ron Coursey finalized a deal in April to take the William Penn team to Philadelphia for the game after meeting with members of the 76ers management in Philadelphia.
