23 area baseball players earned Mid Penn all-star nods


Franklin County baseball players walked away with nearly two dozen Mid Penn Conference all-star honors, including seven first-team nods in the Mid Penn Colonial Division. 

Waynesboro, Greencaslte-Antrim and James Buchanan each received a pair of first-team honors in the Colonial Division, while Shippensburg's Nate Holt was the lone Greyhound named to the first team. 

Jerrett Biesecker and Clay Wolfe represent the Indians on the first team, while Nathan Starliper and Caleb Schaeffer earned first-team nods for Greencaslte.

Remi Spoonhour and Jared Pine were both named Mid Penn Colonial Division first-teamers after leading the Rockets to one of their best seasons in program history. 

In the Commonwealth Division, Kaden Hoover of Chambersburg earned second-team recognition, while Austin Kopp was named a Trojan honorable mention. 

Shippensburg's Aaron Ross and Colton Zeigler earned Colonial Division second-team honors, along with Tanner Rock and Noah Brown of Greencastle and Kyle Hoffman and Hunter Clever from Waynesboro. 

Waynesboro received three honorable mentions in Cole Reed, Cal Davis and Derek Buhrman, along with Greencastle's Evan Maun and Cade Bender. Shippensburg's Brady Kuhn and Ethan Stouffer also received honorable mentions, while James Buchanan's Jakob Dorty was the lone Rocket to be named honorable mention.
