Tuesday's baseball roundup: Despite defeat, New Oxford's Romanoff wraps up year with .522 batting average

DALLASTOWN 5, NEW OXFORD 1 >> Despite a 5-1 loss to Dallastown to close out the regular season on Tuesday, New Oxford's Keegan Romanoff finished the year with an impressive school record.

The Colonials' senior collected two more hits on the day and finished the season with a .522 batting average, according to head coach Scott Anderson. Romanoff also recorded 35 hits in 20 games.

As for Dallastown, Brandon White went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, as the Wildcats earned the home victory in the completion of an April 30 game that was suspended due to inclement weather. The contest was picked up Tuesday afternoon in the top of the second inning.

Andrew Stambaugh pitched a complete game for Dallastown, as he struck out seven and walked five. Eric Morrison had a home run for the Wildcats.

The game was originally scheduled for April 30 but was suspended due to inclement weather. It was picked back up Tuesday in bottom of first inning, with York Catholic leading 1-0.
