Three teams repeat as YAIAA cheerleading champions



All three of the 2015 YAIAA competitive cheerleading champions successfully defended their titles on Saturday as Dallastown, Spring Grove and Red Lion all repeated as league champions.

Red Lion won the co-ed championship, edging New Oxford by just 0.5 points.

Dallastown won the large-school division with 153 points, ahead of runner-up Dover's 141.5 points.

Spring Grove won the small-school division, ahead of runner-up Central York and third-place South Western.

In all, 13 cheer teams competed in the league championships.

Dallastown's Maggie Heimler won the tumble-off, and Central York's Nisa Still won the jump-off.
