A-C bows out in district opener

The Annville-Cleona wrestling team's season came to an end on Wednesday night. But it took a powerhouse program to send the Little Dutchmen home.

Despite wins from Josh Renninger, Mark Wagner and David Fiebig, A-C dropped a 59-14 decision at top-seeded Boiling Springs in a District Three Class AA opener Wednesday.

The loss gives No. 8 seed A-C  a 9-4 record to show for its efforts in a team format this season, which came to a close on an up note for Renninger, who picked up a 16-2 major decision at 138, Wagner, who scored a 14-3 major decision at 170, and Fiebig, who posted the Little Dutchmen's lone pin fall win at 106 in 2:24.

Seven of Boiling Springs' 11 victories came by pin.
