A-C wrestlers rout Lancaster Catholic

The Annville-Cleona wrestling team, with an assist from the flu bug, routed Lancaster Catholic 72-8 in a Section Three bout in Annville on Thursday.

With illness taking its toll on Catholic, only four matches were contested. A-C (3-2 overall, 3-1 Section Three) won two of them - Alex Wilson picked up a pin at 195, and Joshua Renninger did the same at 138 and needed just 29 seconds to do so. The Little Dutchmen won 10 other bouts by forfeit en route to the lopsided triumph.

Warwick 66, Cedar Crest 13: In Lititz, the Falcons dropped the first six matches while falling to 0-3 in Section One.

Barry Breidegan got Cedar Crest on the board with a major decision at 160, while Jarell Howard-Griffin added a pinfall win at 182, and Austin Torres scored a decision at 220.

Cocalico 69, Lebanon 6: At Lebanon High, the Cedars were dominated by the visitors while falling to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in Section Two.

Lebanon's only points came from 170-pounder Nicholas Bradley, who notched up a victory by fall.
