The Palmyra girls swim team accomplished a rare feat in athletics on Tuesday - a six-peat.

Not a repeat, or a three-peat, a six-peat. As in six straight Mid-Penn Keystone Division titles.

The Cougars continued their increasingly epic streak of division championships by rolling past Mechanicsburg 122-48 in a battle of Keystone unbeatens in the Wildcats' home pool.

Samantha St. Clair (200 free, 100 free) and Ellie Keck (50 free, breast stroke) led the way for Palmyra with two individual wins apiece, and Kate Hess and Abbey Hess added wins in the 500 free and backstroke, respectively. The Cougars also swept all three relays en route to the victory.

"We have been so blessed to have such amazing Cougar swimmers," Cynthia Lyons, Palmyra's head coach said. "We will reflect on our awesome dual meet season and try to move forward with more fast swimming. The kids will continue to work as hard as they have all season and wait to find out who gets in to Mid-Penns and districts."

Also on Tuesday, the Palmyra boys closed out a solid dual meet season by defeating Mechanicsburg, 126-54.
