FIELD HOCKEY: Annville-Cleona upends Lancaster Mennonite, 1-0

Over the years, the Annville-Cleona field hockey team hasn't done much smiling after facing perennial power Lancaster Mennonite.

But on Wednesday, A-C was grinning broadly after stunning Mennonite 1-0 in a Section Three clash at Annville-Cleona High School.

Morgan Zimmerman's goal at the 1:09 mark of the second half off an assist from Tori Malloy was the difference in the contest, and upped A-C's record to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in Section Three.

Lancaster Mennonite, which was held to just one shot in the contest, fell to 4-4 overall and 4-2 in Section Three. Haley Zimmerman turned away that lone shot for A-C to earn the win in goal.

Also around the county on Wednesday, Elco was routed 13-0 by Donegal, and Lebanon was blanked by Elizabethtown 5-0.
