FOOTBALL: Cedar Crest falls to Lower Dauphin, 35-13
The afterglow of a Cedar Bowl victory takes a while to fade.
But by late Friday night, the Cedar Crest football team was no longer basking in its season-opening win over crosstown rival Lebanon.
The Falcons came back to earth Friday, dropping a 35-13 decision to perennial power Lower Dauphin at Hersheypark Stadium.
Cedar Crest was locked in a 7-7 tie early, before LD (2-0) ran off 21 unanswered points to grab a 28-7 lead at the half.
The Falcons from South Lebanon would close to within 28-13 late in the third, but the comeback bid stalled there.
Cedar Crest returns to action next Friday when it hosts Manheim Central at Earl Boltz Stadium.
