Cedar Crest bows out in district volleyball

The Cedar Crest girls volleyball team's season is over. But the Falcons can take some consolation from the fact that it took an undefeated team to end it.

Making its first district playoff appearance since 2004, Cedar Crest fell to unbeaten Exeter 3-0 in a District 3 4A first round contest at Garden Spot on Saturday afternoon.

Now 17-0, the Eagles were victorious by set scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-14 and led by  Emily Hangen, who had 10 kills, six assists and four digs in the win.

Alexis Schwenk added 26 assists as Exeter ended  Cedar Crest's season at 9-8. No Cedar Crest stats were immediately available.
