Catholic stays hot, tops Barons

It might take a fire hose to cool off the Lebanon Catholic girls basketball team.

The Beavers notched their eighth straight win on Wednesday night, upending Manheim Central 60-48 in a Section Three-Four crossover on Assumption Hill.

Allie Warren led the way with a 24-point eruption, and Neesha Pierre added 17 as Catholic improved to 11-3 overall and 7-3 in Section Four. The Beavers jumped to a 16-7 lead after the first quarter and kept control the rest of the way.

Sara Ober paced Central with 16 points and four 3-pointers.

Cedar Crest 62, Elizabethtown 42: In Elizabethtown, the Falcons tuned up for tonight's crosstown clash with Lebanon behind a 23-point outburst in the first quarter.

Ariel Jones and Alyssa Austin each dropped in 22 points as Cedar Crest improved to 13-1 overall and 9-1 in Section One with its sixth straight win.

McCaskey 52, Lebanon 28: At Lebanon High, the Cedars' struggles continued in a lopsided loss to the Red Tornado.

There was, however, some good news for Lebanon (4-11, 3-7 Section Two) as Alexis Hill returned to the lineup after missing time with a back injury and scored eight points.
