The Little Dutchmen failed to overcome a 3-point second quarter on the road

Unable to recover from a three-point second quarter, the Annville-Cleona girls basketball team fell, 58-50, Monday at Lampeter-Strasburg. Meredith Bachman deposited 15 points to lead the Little Dutchmen (1-3, 0-2 Lancaster-Lebanon), who matched their hosts in the other three quarters of play. The Pioneers' Nevin Hoenninger scored 25 in a game-high effort.

Annville-Cleona will return home Wednesday for a showdown against Donegal.

Northern Lebanon 47, Lebanon Catholic 36: The Vikings (5-0, 2-0) remained undefeated thanks to a critical home effort against the county rival Beavers during Section 3-4 crossover play. Utilizing an 18-9 outburst in the third quarter, Northern Lebanon ran past Lebanon Catholic late, also boosted by Megan Brandt's team-best 17 points. Celine Mars recorded a dozen for the Beavers (1-2, 0-2), who received 10 points from Allie Warren.

Lebanon 45, Penn Manor 43: For the second straight game, the Cedars edged a Section One foe on the road, clipping the Comets in Millersville. Alexis Hill racked up 27 points, as Lebanon built on a one-point lead heading into the fourth quarter with a 14-13 effort in the final period. The Cedars (3-1, 2-0) connected on 15 field goals and free throws as a team, yet failed to hit once from distance. They will return home Wednesday for a tip-off against Warwick.

Elco 55, Columbia 29: Keeping up with their unbeaten boy counterparts, the Raiders rolled the Crimson Tide to improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in league play. Nine different players scored for Elco, including Alexis Thomas (17 points) and Chandeller Keller, who had 10.
