A-C's Hoch wins L-L Outstanding Player of the Year

A Lebanon County football player was named with prestigious postseason honors.

Annville-Cleona senior running back Cameron Hoch was named the Lancaster-Lebanon League 2016 Outstanding Player of the Year Dec. 1, winning the award representing Section Three.

The awards for each section, sponsored jointly by Columbia Lions Club, Elizabethtown Lions Club, and the Lititiz Lions Club, are named after former lions club members Bernie Rider, former Warwick coach, Bill Frantz, former E-Town coach, and Jack Yohe, former Columbia coach.

Hoch becomes the first Dutchmen player named with the award since Ricky Snyder in 2010.

Hoch put in a memorable senior season in an A-C uniform, including recording over 2,000 all-purpose yards, and 14 total touchdowns (11 rushing, three receiving), along with averaging 10.7 yards per carry. He also was dangerous in the return game, with 436 kickoff return yards, averaging 31.1 per return, and had 11 punt returns for 287 yards.

The Dutchmen senior also made his presence known defensively, finishing with 83 total tackles, including three tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, five pass breakups, a fumble caused, and a fumble recovery.

Hoch's efforts helped lead A-C to a share of the Section Three title with Lancaster Catholic, its first section title since 2004.
