FOOTBALL: McCaskey's Bynum commits to Towson

UPDATE:

Kyaire Bynum is currently attending Valley Forge Military College where he plays linebacker/safety and majors in psychology.

He's hoping to get looks from bigger schools after the 2015 season.

After much deliberating, JP McCaskey senior Kyaire Bynum has finally made a decision on where he'll continue his football career.

Bynum verbally committed to Towson University early Sunday and will play either safety or wide receiver.

"Towson made me feel like I was part of the family and showed love from day one; each and every coach, even the players," Bynum said. "It isn't too far from home and the atmosphere is just right."

Towson is located in Baltimore County, Maryland and competes in the Colonial Athletic Association in the NCAA's D-1 Football Championship Subdivision.

Bynum was also considering schools such as Delaware and Temple.

The 6'2, 190-pound senior was a jack of all trades during his time at McCaskey, playing quarterback, wide receiver and safety.

In 2014, Bynum had 38 receptions for 488 yards and three touchdowns.

The Red Tornado finished with a 4-6 record after going winless in 2013.

"Time has definitely flown by. I remember watching Diante Cherry (Delaware) and Aaron Swinton (William and Mary) commit to their schools and now I am in the same position they were in."

With about seven months until his college football career begins, Bynum was straight to the point when asked about his attitude for the 2015 football season.

"I am very excited to be a Tiger!"
