Palmyra field hockey aiding breast cancer fight

In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Palmyra Area High School field hockey team's home game vs. Central Dauphin next Saturday will double as a fundraiser for the cause.

The Cougars will host CD at 9 a.m. on Oct.8 at In The Net Sports Complex, with all proceeds from the game set to be donated to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center's breast cancer patient fund, known as the Karen Dwyer-Jones Fund. There will be raffles and a bake sale during the game, and all women who are breast cancer survivors can attend the game for free. All levels of field hockey families in Palmyra will be represented and supporting the event.
