Roundup: Mason Bossert leads Elco over Mennonite


Elco junior Mason Bossert drained eight 3-pointers and finished with 28 points, leading the Raiders to a 65-47 win at Lancaster Mennonite on Friday. Elco (15-2, 8-2 Lancaster-Lebanon), which outscored its host in every quarter but the third, has now won four straight and eight of its last nine. Colton Lawrence and Nate Beamer also registered in double figures.

The Raiders will next welcome Cocalico in a critical Section Three showdown on Tuesday night.

Columbia 55, Northern Lebanon 51: The Vikings (5-11, 2-9) failed to close on the road, yielding a 21-point fourth quarter to the Crimson Tide. Isaac Bicher collected 22 points, the only Northern Lebanon player to score more than nine. Columbia had three players in double figures, led by Jaden Neal's 16 points.

Manheim Central 53, Annville-Cleona 37: Noah Myers had 11 points, but the Little Dutchmen (5-12, 3-8) couldn't keep pace with Taylor Funk (22 ponts) and the Barons. Annville-Cleona will return to Section Four play on Tuesday at home against Lebanon Catholic.

Cocalico 57, Lebanon Catholic 52: Trailing by five after the first quarter, the Beavers (2-14, 0-11) played even basketball the rest of the way in a home test against the Eagles, who were without Tucker Lescoe. Lebanon Catholic's Davian Perez poured in 27 points, including a couple 3-pointers.

Palmyra 79, Lower Dauphin 60: The wins keep piling up for the Cougars (13-3, 6-3 Mid-Penn Keystone), who raced out to a 16-point lead after the first quarter. Austin Yetter exploded for a game-best 27 points, followed by Isaac Blatt, who had 18.

Mount Calvary 44, New Covenant 38: The Flames (7-6, 5-3 CCAC West) failed to overcome an 11-point halftime deficit on the road in Elizabethtown, dropping one game above .500. Dawson Copenhaver and Cody Snyder each produced 16 points and a single 3-pointer.
