Roundup: Cedar Crest handles Garden Spot, 50-34


Attempting 36 total free throws, the Cedar Crest boys basketball team eased by Garden Spot on the road Monday, 50-34. Evan Horn scored a game-best 18 points, finishing as the lone Falcon in double figures. The Spartans' Brett Cataudella recorded a team-high nine, supported by eight other Garden Spot scorers.

Cedar Crest (12-2, 8-1 Lancaster-Lebanon) trailed after the first quarter, but held the Spartans to single digits in each remaining period. Tate Seyfert and Cole Laney each added eight points.

Elco 80, Pequea Valley 54: Points were far from at a premium in Kinzers, where the Raiders put on a road rout. Mason Bossert knocked down seven 3-pointers on the way to a 23-point performance. He was backed by Caleb Buchmoyer's 18 and the 14 courtesy of Colton Lawrence.

Elco (12-2, 8-2) posted 20 points in every quarter but one.

Donegal 58, Lebanon Catholic 52: The Beavers (2-12, 0-9) nearly slapped together a home comeback, but fell just short against the Indians. Davian Perez piled up 17 points, joining Luke Frattaroli and Humberto Valerio in double figures. Donegal hit 24 field goals to Lebanon Catholic's 19.
