Roundup: Elco, Lebanon Catholic boys advance
The Raiders and Beavers will play for holiday tournament titles on Tuesday
It was a merry return to the hardwood for Elco on Monday, as the Raiders eased their way to a 70-42 win over Mahanoy Area in the Pine Grove holiday tournament. Colton Lawrence dropped 26 points, while Nate Beamer and Caleb Buchmoyer also registered in double figures with 13 and 11, respectively. Elco led 34-16 at halftime and connected on 27 field goals as a team.
The Raiders will take on Nativity for the Pine Grove holiday tournament title on Tuesday.

The Beavers picked up their second win of the season, edging their way to the Mount Calvary Christian holiday tournament final. Joe Gates' game-high 24 points were propped up by a terrific 11-14 showing at the free throw line. Luke Frattaroli finished with 17 points and Humberto Valerio scored 10. Lebanon Catholic led by 10 heading into the fourth quarter, before holding on for the victory.
