Limiting Tulpehocken to just a dozen points before halftime, the Northern Lebanon boys basketball team won its home opener, 44-25, Monday night. Isaac Bicher led the Vikings in scoring for the third straight game, dropping a game-high 14 points. Sophomore Michigan Daub followed with nine, as Shane Reese chipped in with seven.

Northern Lebanon (2-1) matched its winning three-game start from a year ago with the victory. The Vikings next take the floor on Friday at home against Pequea Valley.

Lancaster County Christian 50, Lebanon Catholic 45

Down by one with a quarter to go, the Beavers failed to hold on at home and dropped their first game of the season. Lebanon Catholic shot just 7-17 from the free throw line, as Joe Gates topped all scorers with 14 points. Davian Perez cashed in on a team-best five field goals en route to 13 points.

Lancaster County Christian knocked down seven 3-pointers, including a trio courtesy of Andy Rohrbaugh. The Lions had three players finish in double figures.

Northern Lebanon 47, Tulpehocken 15

After capturing their own tip-off tournament championship over the weekend, the Vikings improved to 3-0 on the season with a road blowout of the Trojans. Megan Brandt sank three shots before and after intermission, posting a team-high 12 points matched only by RaeAnn Lessing. Zoe Zerman accounted for Northern Lebanon's lone 3-pointer on the night, as Tulpehocken notched only a single field goal in the first and fourth quarters.
