Ephrata headed to district title game after 1-0 win over Cumberland Valley

The Mounts took another step in their playoff journey Tuesday afternoon after defeating no. 7 Cumberland Valley, 1-0 to advance to the District 3 Class AAAA baseball finals.

Ephrata posted the only run in the game when Evan Frees hit an RBI single in the bottom of the second.

Starting pitcher Dillon Good went all seven innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out two.

The Mounts will now face Governor Mifflin in the district championship game on Thursday. Mifflin defeated Cedar Cliff, 6-0 in the other Class AAAA semifinal on Tuesday.

In addition to advancing to the district finals, Ephrata also clinched a PIAA tournament berth.
