BASEBALL: Beakler, Dubendorf lift Northern Lebanon past Donegal, 1-0
Wyatt Beakler didn't need a lot of runs on Friday.
Chase Dubendorf gave him the only one he needed, and Beakler took it from there.
Dubendorf drove in a first-inning run and Beakler fired a three-hit shutout to lift Northern Lebanon to a 1-0 victory over Donegal in a Section Three encounter in Fredericksburg on Friday afternoon.
Beakler struck out 10 while going the distance as Northern Lebanon improved to 11-7 overall and 10-5 in Section Three.
Dubendorf went 2-for-3 with a double, accounting for both Viking hits and the game's lone RBI.
