Game of the Day

Elco baseball  4, Manheim Central 1

The Raiders came up with a big road win in their Section 3 finale, preventing the Barons from clinching the section title in the process.

Clay Hain fired a complete game to lift the Raiders to the victory, which lifted them to 14-5 overall and closed out their Section 3 slate at 11-5.

Player of the Day 

Isaac Blatt, Palmyra baseball

The Cougars' ace righthander came up big on Senior Day, firing a masterful three-hit shutout to lift Palmyra to a 1-0 triumph over Central Dauphin East.

Blatt struck out five and walked only one and earned the win when the Cougars triumphed in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the seventh on Brian Coburn's sacrifice fly that chased home courtesy runner Braeden Drescher.

Baseball

Palmyra 1, CD East 0

As noted above, Palmyra celebrated Senior Day in style via Blatt's mound gem and Coburn's clutch sac fly that drove in the winning run.

Cedar Crest 4, Fleetwood 3

In South Lebanon, the Falcons came up with a walk-off win, rallying for two runs in the bottom of the 7th to steal away with the non-league victory.

Tulpehocken 8, Annville-Cleona 3

A late rally by the Trojans spoiled A-C's Senior Night under the lights at Earl Wenger Field.

Up 3-0 after five innings, the Dutchmen surrendered six runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh on the way to the defeat.

Lancaster Mennonite 15, Lebanon  Catholic 0

Softball

Manheim Central 7, Elco 0

The Raiders had as many hits as errors - 5 - en route to the shutout loss to the Barons.

Sarah Yermalovich and Amaya Phillips paced Elco in defeat with two hits apiece.

Donegal 15, Northern Lebanon 0 (3 innings)

The Vikings were routed by co-Section 3 leader Donegal in their final league game of the season, going down in three innings via the 15-run mercy rule.

Girls Lacrosse

Hershey 17, Palmyra 7

The Cougars fell behind 10-4 at the half and couldn't make up the difference after intermission.

Cheyenne Sprecher (4) and NIkki Bowman (3) accounted for all seven Palmyra goals.

Payton Bouslough paced Hershey with four goals.

Boys Volleyball

Lower Dauphin 3, Palmyra 1

The Cougars did their best to deny LD the Mid-Penn Keystone crown, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to take the third set by a 25-14 score. But LD held off Palmyra 27-25 in the fourth to claim the match.
