The postseason is fast approaching for scholastic spring sports teams, which means the importance of the games rises as that time draws near.

With that in mind, here are 5 games to watch in Lebanon County this week:

Elco baseball at Garden Spot, Wednesday, 4:15 p.m.

There's a ton on the line for the Raiders, looking to continuing solifying a spot in the District 3 Class 4A playoffs, as well as needing a win in a fight for their L-L playoff life. Elco comes in two games behind the Spartans for the second and final playoff spot in Section 3. The Raiders also looking to avenge what was arguably their worst lost of the season that came at the hands of Garden Spot - a lackluster 16-1 loss in five innings.

Lancaster Catholic at Annville-Cleona baseball, Monday, 4:15 p.m.

While it's district playoff and L-L playoff spots look promising, the Dutchmen are looking for more with their eyes set on a Section 4 crown. A win over the first-place Crusaders would definitely help their cause, trailing by two and a half games. It didn't go so well for A-C in its first meeting with Lancaster Catholic, losing 12-2 in five innings, committing five errors in the process.

Central Dauphin at Palmyra girls lacrosse, Tuesday, 4:15 p.m.

With their district playoff lives in good shape, the Cougars are also after an MPC-Keystone crown. Palmyra comes into the matchup with the Rams tied for first with rival Hershey, while Central Dauphin is just a half-game behind the Cougars and Trojans. This is the one and only meeting between both teams.

Annville-Cleona softball at Lancaster Catholic, Monday, 4:15 p.m.

A-C's Section 4 title hopes disappeared in a 5-0 loss at Pequea Valley last Thursday, but it can all but sew up a Lancaster-Lebanon League playoff berth with a win at Lancaster Catholic Monday.

Currently 7-5 in Section 4 and a game up on Catholic for second place and the L-L playoff spot that goes with it, Annville-Cleona handled the Crusaders 10-3 in the first meeting on April 5 to begin a four-game win streak that got it going a bit after a slow start to the season.

Cedar Crest boys tennis vs. Northeastern, Thursday, 3:15 p.m.

No strangers to postseason play, the Falcons are back in the 3A district tourney after earning the No. 10 seed in the 12-team bracket.

They'll face 7th-seeded Northeastern out of the York-Adams league, and with singles standouts Jack Muraika and Dylan Tull leading the way figure to have an excellent chance of advancing to the quarterfinal round against No.2 seed Manheim Central, which topped Cedar Crest 3-2 in the Lancaster-Lebanon League semifinals.
