Lebanon County Highlights: A-C softball wins 1st game

Annville-Cleona softball 10, Lancaster Catholic 3
After two lopsided losses to start the season, the Annville-Cleona softball team put its first check in the win column on Wednesday, rolling past Lancaster Catholic 10-3 in a Section 4 encounter at Annville-Cleona High School.
Michaela Singer led an 11-hit attack with a home run and triple and four RBIs.
Sarah Fischer, Amber Rexrode and Cayla Gassert added two hits apiece and Zoee Garis fired a complete game five-hitter and struck out nine to pick up the pitching win.
A-C is now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in Section 4.

Lancaster Catholic 12, Annville-Cleona 2 (5 innings)
A four-run sixth inning from the Crusaders doomed the Dutchmen, falling victim to the 10-run mercy rule.
Cocalico 6, Lebanon 4
A four-run fourth inning helped the Eagles pull away. Cody Kissinger led the Cedars with a 2-for-4 day, including a double and 2 RBI.
McCaskey 6, Cedar Crest 5
Down 4-1, the Falcons erased the deficit with a three-run fifth. After each team scored a run in the sixth, the Red Tornado escaped for the victory with a run in the seventh inning.
Columbia 11, Lebanon Catholic 1
The Beavers got the jump with a run in the top of the first but it was all Columbia from there as the Crimson Tide ended the game in five innings with the help of eight Beaver errors.
Cedar Crest 17, McCaskey 2 (3 innings)
The Falcons picked up their first win of the season in dominating fashion, routing the Red Tornado in 3 innings via the 15-run mercy rule.
Ashley Maulfair picked up the pitching for Cedar Crest, which collected 10 hits and ended the game early with the help of an 8-run 3rd inning,
Columbia 16, Lebanon Catholic 1 (4 innings)
On Assumption Hill, the Beavers fell victim to the 15-run mercy rule, managing just one hit while committing five errors.
Cocalico 7, Annville-Cleona 0
A-C was blanked in this Section 2 encounter, failing to win a set along the way.
Hempfield 7, Lebanon 0
The Cedars won just six games in seven matches en route to the shutout loss.
Elco 5, Lancaster Catholic 2
The Raiders took down the Crusaders in a Section 2 encounter. No other details were available.
Palmyra 5, Northern York 0
Ben Clary led the Cougars with a 6-0, 6-0 win over the Polar Bears' Dylan Kraus, while Palmyra's Quinn Marcus pulled out a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over Northern York's Jave Coover.
