Lebanon County HS Highlights - Dec. 19


Game of the Day 

Lebanon boys basketball 68, McCaskey 58

On Monday night, the Lebanon High boys basketball team officially served notice it's going to have to be dealt with it in its first season back in Section One.

The Cedars registered an eye-popping 68-58 triumph over perennial section power McCaskey in Lancaster while placing four scorers in double figures.

Camryn Shaak led the way with 19 points, Khalique Washington added 12 and Dante Vargas and Luis Aquino-Rios each added 10 for Lebanon, now 3-2 overall and 2-0 in Section One.

Player of the Day

Amelia Baldo, Palmyra girls basketball

The Cougars are off to a hot start this season, thanks in part to the stellar play of sophomore guard Amelia Baldo. Baldo continued to shine on Monday, pouring in a game-high 19 points in a 48-43 win on the road at Cedar Cliff.

Baldo tallied 6 field goals and hit 7 of 9 free throws on the way to her 19 points.

 

Boys Basketball

Warwick 61, Cedar Crest 56

In Lititz, the Falcons couldn't follow up Friday's big win over McCaskey, coughing up a 17-8 first quarter lead along the way.

Cole Laney was a bright spot in defeat for Crest (3-2, 1-1 Section One) and Tate Seyfert added 10.

Columbia 65, Annville-Cleona 54

In Annville, A-C suffered its first loss after four straight wins to open the season, despite 15 points from Donald Friday and 14 apiece from Ryan Mathews and Noah Myers.

 

 

Girls Basketball

 Palmyra 48, Cedar Cliff 43
Baldo led the way with 19 points and Olivia Richardson added 13 as the Cougars improved to 5-1 overall and stayed unbeaten in the Mid-Penn Keystone.

Lampeter-Strasburg 67, Lebanon 20

At Lebanon High, the Cedars fell behind 20-7 after the first quarter and never recovered while remaining winless.

Destiny Infante and Carly Sanders led Lebanon with 7 points apiece.

Columbia 51, Annville-Cleona 39

In Columbia, A-C dropped its second straight due in part to coughing up a 10-4 first quarter lead.

Michaela Singer, Chloe Inman and Harper Sellers dropped in 8 points apiece for A-C.

Elco 48, Lancaster Mennonite 38

In Lancaster, the Raiders snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in Section 3.
