Cedar Crest boys soccer 1, Cocalico 0 (OT)

In a season in which rotten luck has ensued, the Falcons finally had the ball bounce their way as Hunter Craig was the hero for Cedar Crest by scoring in the 87th minute. Jake Beard was solid in the Cedar Crest goal with eight saves. The Falcons improve to 3-8-1 overall and 2-6-1 in Section 2 play.

Players of the Day

There were three Lebanon County winners in their respective cross country meets. Cedar Crest's Jesse Cruise won his race with a time of 17:24 against Solanco and Conestoga Valley, while Elco's Nick Madigan took his race in 17:20 in a loss against Cocalico. Kelsei Bixler won her race for Palmyra with a time of 20:20 in the Cougars' meet with Mechanicsburg and Red Land.

Boys Soccer

McCaskey 2, Lebanon 1 

After a scoreless first half, the Red Tornado's Sean McRoberts scored two goals to lead McCaskey in the win. Alex Mease brought the Cedars back to within one, but it wouldn't be enough.

CD East 1, Palmyra 0

Nnameka Chinatu was the hero for the Panthers with a second-half goal, assisted by Donivon Medina. Derrick Ciesielka recorded two saves in the loss for the Cougars.

Boys Cross Country 

Annville-Cleona 28, Lancaster Catholic 29

Annville-Cleona 15, Garden Spot 51 

Anthony Frattarole and Doyle Shertzer led the way for the Little Dutchmen in their sweep of the Crusaders and the Spartans with top-five finishes. Frattarole placed second in 18:47, while Shertzer was right behind him in third with a time of 18:53. A-C also had four others finish in the top 10, including Sean Springer in sixth in 19:17, Caleb Wenger in eighth at 19:43, Matthew Inman ninth at 19:47 and Gavin Knox 10th in 19:52.

Donegal 23, Northern Lebanon 38

Northern Lebanon 28, Lancaster Mennonite 30

The Vikings had three runners in the top 10, including two in the top three. Jordan Berger led the way with a second-place finish with a time of 18;13, followed by Klayton Adams in third in 18:23. Alex Kudlanov was 10th with a time of 19:25.

Ephrata 19, Lebanon 48

Derin Klick and Anier Caldwell-Brooks both placed in the top 10 to lead the Cedars. Klick was second with a time of 17:35, while Caldwell-Brooks was 10th with a time of 20:03.5.

Cedar Crest 16, Conestoga Valley 44

Cedar Crest 15, Solanco 51

Seven Falcons runners all placed in the top 10, including the top four in a row. Along with Cruise's victory, Adam Wolfe was second at 17:26, then Jake Barrett in third at 17:28, and Devyn Stump in 17:54. William Sheffield was sixth with a time of 18:18, and Nick Blandy and Dylan Mehler finished in a tie for 10th with a time of 18:44.

Cocalico 24, Elco 32

Despite the loss, the Raiders found two runners finishing in the top five, including Madigan with the win, and Ryan McAllister in fifth with a time of 17:30.

Mechanicsburg 18, Palmyra 37
Palmyra 27, Red Land 29

The Cougars saw three runners finish inside the top 10, including Kevin Cole in fifth with a time of 17:46. Garrett Funck was seventh in 18:00, and Derek Wadas was ninth in 18:16. 

Girls Cross Country 

Annville-Cleona 25, Lancaster Catholic 30

Garden Spot 16, Annville-Cleona 42

The Little Dutchmen saw two runners finish in the top 10, including Mary Tshudy in sixth with a time of 23:51, and Jess Gutekunst with a time of 25:06.

Cedar Crest 22, Conestoga Valley 33

Cedar Crest 24, Solanco 32 

The Falcons' successful day was highlighted by five runners in the top 10, including Shayla Bonzelet finishing fifth with a time of 22:01. Ashley Stalnecker was sixth in 22:12, followed by Taylor Laliberte in eighth at 22:26, and Elizabeth Nazeeri in ninth at 22:29.

Ephrata 15, Lebanon 55

The Cedars did not have any runners participate in today's meet.

Elco 15, Cocalico 55

Eight Raiders runners finished in the top 10. Lily Brubaker led the way in second at 21:00, followed by AJ Madigan in third at 23:45, and Emily Williams fourth at 23:59.

Palmyra 18, Mechanicsburg 43
Palmyra 25, Red Land 30

In a successful day for the Cougars, three runners recorded top-five finishes, including Bixler's victory. Bixler was followed by Sarah Hollen in third at 20:54, and Amelia Baldo in fifth at 21:45. Ellie Keck also finished in the top 10 with a time of 22:01. 

**In its meet with Donegal and Lancaster Mennonite, all five Vikings runners placed in the top 20, including two in the top 15. Brianna Seip was 11th in 29:21, while Erin Ditzler finished 15th with a time of 26:47.

Field Hockey

Palmyra 6, Mechanicsburg 0

Big nights from Alexis Smith and Jess Dembrowksi led the Cougars to the shutout. Smith recorded a hat trick, including two of them in the first half. Dembrowski recorded four points on the night with a goal and three assists. Two of her assists came on two of Smith's goals.

Girls Soccer

Palmyra 6, CD East 0

The Cougars had balanced scoring en route to the shutout. Mara Bowman, Nikki Bowman, Hannah Bowman and Nyah Combs all scored in the first half. Paige Drnevich and Janelle Haldeman capped the scoring in the second half. Nikki Bowman finished with an assist in addition to her goal.

Cedar Crest 10, McCaskey 0

It didn't take long for the Falcons to put this one out of reach, scoring eight first-half goals, including four in the first 15 minutes. Sam Gerhart, Reagan Young and Sydney Snyder each had two goals.

Cocalico 8, Lebanon 0

After taking a 3-0 lead into the half, the Eagles poured it on for a five-spot in the second half to pull away.

Girls Volleyball 

Mount Calvary 3, New Covenant Christian 0

It was a tough night for the Flames, as they were handled in every set, 25-6, 25-14, and 25-11.

Lancaster Mennonite 3, Northern Lebanon 1

With the exception of a 25-22 win in the third set, the Vikings were punished the rest of the way, losing 25-14, 25-8 and 25-17 in the first, second, and fourth sets, respectively.
