Player of the Day
Katelyn Mark, Palmyra field hockey
Overshadowed by more high-profile players, Katelyn Mark has been something of an unsung hero for the Palmyra field hockey team the last few seasons. On Wednesday night, Mark wasn't so unsung, contributing two goals and an assist to the Cougars' 7-1 rout of Susquehanna Township.
The goals were the senior midfielder/defender and Penn recruit's fourth and fifth of the season and helped Palmyra improve to 7-1 for the season.
Both of Mark's goals were unassisted and came in the second half, and she assisted on Jess Dembrowski's first half goal that helped the Cougars to a 3-0 halftime lead.
Hempfield 1, Lebanon 0
In Landisville, the Cedars gave the traditionally powerful Black Knights a run for their money but couldn't answer Mark Lutz's goal at 13:08 of the first half.
