Elco girls soccer 2, Pequea Valley 1 (OT) 

Eve Peiffer was the hero for the Raiders in the come-from-behind victory, scoring the game-winner just a minute and a half into the extra session. After Leona Stolzfus gave the Braves a 1-0 lead in the 65th minute, Tanisha Grewel tied the game for Elco ten minutes later. The Raiders remain undefeated and a top the Section Three standings at 9-0 overall and 6-0 in Section Three play.

Players of the Day 

Kelsie Bixler and Sarah Hollen led the Palmyra Cougars girls cross country team with top-five finishes in their home meet against Hershey and Susquehanna Township, which the Cougars split. Bixler finished third with a time of 20:45, while Holen placed fifth with a time of 21:20.

Boys soccer 

Lancaster Mennonite 6, Annville-Cleona 0 

In what was a rough going for the Little Dutchmen on the road, A-C had trouble defending the Blazers' Matt Lynch, who scored a hat trick in the first half alone.

Elco 3, Pequea Valley 0

Evan Gettler's two-goal performance led the Raiders to the shutout. Both of Gettler's goals came at the 22nd and 37th minutes of the first half. Seth Noll's goal in the 52nd minute capped off the scoring. The Raiders keep pace with Lancaster Mennonite for first in Section Three, now at 6-1-1 overall, and 5-0-1 in Section Three play.

Palmyra 5, Harrisburg 1

With the game tied at one early in the first half, Palmyra scored four unanswered goals to roll to the victory. Luke Higgins led Palmyra with a goal and an assist. His goal came at the 15:23 mark of the first half. Palmyra also didn't allow a corner kick to Harrisburg.

Lancaster Catholic 3, Lebanon Catholic 0

Connor Engle's goal and assist led the Crusaders to the shutout win. Engle's goal came on a penalty kick in the 29th minute.

Donegal 3, Northern Lebanon 1

The Vikings dug themselves too deep a hole in the first half, allowing all three Indian goals in that span.

Girls Soccer 

Donegal 5, Northern Lebanon 1

The Vikings had a tough time controlling the Indians' Sydney Skirboll and Maya Willing, who each had a pair of goals. Both Skirboll's goals came in the first half, while both Willing's goals came in the second half.

Lancaster Mennonite 4, Annville-Cleona 1

The Little Dutchmen could not find an answer to slow down the Blazers offense in the first half, as all four Mennonite goals came from four different players en route to the win.

Lancaster Catholic 6, Lebanon Catholic 0

The Crusaders scored three goals in each half en route to the shutout.

Boys Cross Country

Hershey 19, Palmyra 40

Palmyra 15, Susquehanna Township 50

The Cougar's Kevin Cole finished fourth at Tuesday's meet at Palmyra High School with a time of 17:47. Derek Wadas was right behind Cole in fifth with a time of 18:08. Garrett Funck finished eighth with a time of 18:20.

Girls Cross Country 

Hershey 21, Palmyra 37
Palmyra 15, Susquehanna Township 50

Two Cougars finished in the top five in its home meet. Behind the top five finishes from Bixler and Holen, Ellie Keck and Amelia Baldo also finished in the top 10 for Palmyra with times of 21:50 and 22:21, respectively.

Field Hockey

Manhiem Township 5, Cedar Crest 1

With the game tied at one at the half, everything unraveled for the Falcons, allowing four second-half goals. Emily Peters had the lone goal for Cedar Crest at the 3:22 mark of the first half.

Girls Tennis 

Central Dauphin 4, Palmyra 1

In the midst of a tough afternoon for the Cougars, Alli Lynn pulled out the only win of the day in No. 1 singles, defeating the Rams' Madison Schwab, 6-3, 7-5.

Garden Spot 7, Lebanon 0

It was a tough day for the Cedars, as Kelly Cooper and Jackie Checo were the only ones closest to a victory in No. 1 Doubles, going down 8-5 to the Spartans' Leah Kemper and Leah Steiner.

Girls Volleyball

Cocalico 3, Lebanon 0

It didn't take long for the Eagles to complete the sweep, winning each set 25-14, 25-8, 25-12.

Northern Lebanon 3, Columbia 0

The Vikings had no problem in this one, winning each set 25-19, 25-9, and 25-18. Zoe Zerman had eight kills in the sweep, while Cassidy Shirk recorded 12 aces, and Katie Hossler had 13 assists.
