Boys Lacrosse

Palmyra 18, Chambersburg 1

Talk about a dominating win. An on-the-rise Palmyra boys lacrosse program certainly had one on Thursday, making the long trip to Chambersburg worthwhile by returning with a lopsided 18-1 victory.

Jared Richard led a balanced Cougar offense with four goals and Ethan Gain contributed three goals and six assists for Palmyra, which counted eight different goal scorers in the blowout win.

Eric Thomas and Kyle Nolen added three goals apiece for the Cougars, now 4-3 for the season.

Cheyenne Sprecher, Palmyra girls lacrosse

On the field hockey field, Cheyenne Sprecher's job is to prevent goals, not score them.

But when it comes to lacrosse, the Palmyra junior is free to indulge her offensive-minded side.

She certainly did so on Thursday, in Palmyra girls lacrosse's  14-10 win over Chambersburg.

Sprecher, standout goalie for the Cougar field hockey team and UConn recruit, racked up six goals as Palmyra topped its Mid-Penn Conference opponent at In The Net.

Baseball

Donegal 5, Northern Lebanon 4

In Fredericksburg, the Vikings were outhit 11-7 and surrendered the eventual winning run in the top of the seventh of this Section Three contest.

Isaac Wengert's triple was a highlight for the Vikings.

Lancaster Catholic 13, Elco 1 (6 innings)

In Myerstown, the Raiders suffered their third straight loss after Catholic scored 11 runs in its final two at-bats, including seven in the decisive sixth inning.

En route to the mercy-rule defeat, Elco surrendered six doubles, two of which came off the bat of Dillon Marsh.

Penn Manor 7, Cedar Crest 0

In South Lebanon, the Falcons were shut out on three hits and done in by the Comets' six-run outburst in the top of the fourth.

Brett Bawiec, Riley Cox and Zach Keffer had the hits for Cedar Crest.

Softball

Elco 9, Lancaster Catholic 4

In Lancaster, the Raiders picked up their second win in as many days behind a grand slam home run by Amaya Phillips.

Sarah Yermalovich handled the pitching chores, working around nine hits in a complete-game effort, while Courtney Henry added two hits to the win.

Pequea Valley 14, Lebanon Catholic 0 (5 innings)

On Assumption Hill, Aleesha Feister no-hit the Beavers in the mercy rule-shortened contest, which also included five errors by the home team.

Boys Tennis

Annville-Cleona 7, Northern Lebanon 0

In Annville, Julian DyReyes-Kapp's 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles paced A-C to the shutout victory over its county rival.

Cedar Crest 5, Penn Manor 2

In Millersville, the Falcons rode singles wins from Jack Muraika and Max Mesaros and a sweep of the doubles to a convincing win over the Comets.

McCaskey 7, Lebanon 0

In Lancaster, the Cedars were unable to win any sets while getting blanked by the Red Tornado.

Boys Track

Palmyra 103, Cedar Cliff 47

Alon Rhette took the 100 and 200 dashes, and Alex Hoffsmith won the javelin and 300 hurdles to lead the Cougars to the easy win.

Girls Track

Cedar Cliff 77, Palmyra 73

The Cougars dropped a heart-breaker for their first Keystone Division loss of the season.

Boys Volleyball

Cedar Crest 3, Conestoga Valley 1

In South Lebanon, the Falcons dropped the first set by a 25-21 score before rallying to take the next three and the match.

Mark Johns led the way for Crest with 10 kills, and Jon Simpson added 18 assists to the victory.

Garden Spot 3, Lebanon 0

In New Holland, the Cedars were swept away in three sets despite 10 kills from Paul Heagy and 12 assists from Billy Blair.

Girls Lacrosse

Palmyra 14, Chambersburg 10

At In The Net, the Cougars rode Cheyenne Sprecher's big effort to the home field victory.

In addition to Sprecher's six goals, Palmyra got two scores apiece from Nikki Bowman, Paige Frye, Kiley Gallagher
 and Katelyn Mark.
