District 3 team wrestling pairings released
The District 3 Team Wrestling Championships begin this week, with Class 3A starting Tuesday and Class 2A following Wednesday. The district released its official pairings Sunday afternoon.
In Class 3A, 16 teams have qualified and the top four will advance to the PIAA Tournament. The first round is held at the site of the top four seeds, and the quarterfinal matches will be held right after the first round is completed. The semifinals and consolations will be held Thursday at Spring Grove.
Class 2A has eight teams, three of which qualify for the state tournament. Semifinals will follow Wednesday's quarterfinals at the No. 1 and 2 seeded teams.
Finals for both classes are Saturday at Milton Hershey.
