P.O. Honor Roll: 2 'Boro boys had career highs
JOHN ADAMS, Shippensburg wrestlling: In a District 3 3A Team Championship quarterfinal meet, Adams came off bottom for a reversal and a pin that sewed up a 37-35 victory over No. 3 seed Spring Grove.
ASPEN ANDERSON, James Buchanan girls basketball: Anderson had one of her best offensive games of the season, scoring 11 points against Northern York.
EMILY BARD, Cumberland Valley Christian girls basketball: Bard put up a career-high 15 points in an MDCC win over Faith Chirstian, and also had seven steals and three assists.
OLIVIA COLEMAN, Mercersburg Academy girls basketball: Coleman stacked the score sheet against Gerstell Academy. She contributed 17 points, 13 rebounds and had three blocks.
BROOKE EMGE, Shalom Christian girls basketball: Emge continued her stellar season for the Flames, putting up a career-high 30 points in a big MDCC win over Shenandoah Valley. She also led the team with 10 points against McConnellsburg and added 18 against Grace Academy.
JENAY FAULKNER, Greencastle-Antrim girls basketball: Faulkner contributed 24 of the Lady Blue Devils' 47 points against Shippensburg, and pulled down seven rebounds. She also had 19 points in a Mid Penn Colonial victory over Big Spring.
BRYAN GEMBE, Greencastle-Antrim boys basketball: Despite falling to Shippensburg on Tuesday, Gembe had one of his best games of the season, contributing 22 points for the Blue Devils. He also had 10 points in a win over Red Lion.
SARA GSELL, Waynesboro girls basketball: Gsell scored a season-high 11 points in a Mid Penn Colonial Division win over Boiling Springs.
LINDSEY HOLLENSHEAD, Southern Fulton girls basketball: Hollenshead had a big night for the Indians in an SHL/ICC win over Tussey Mountain. She contributed 10 rebounds, four assists and added six points.
EVAN HINE, Waynesboro boys basketball: Hine notched a career high against Dover, scoring 20 points in an 83-81 victory. He also scored 12 points in a Mid Penn Colonial Division win over Boiling Springs.
CAMERON KECK, Waynesboro boys basketball: Keck scored a career-high 30 points in a win over Dover, and contributed another 14 points in a Mid Penn Colonial Division win over Boiling Springs.
CHASE MARTIN, Shalom Christian boys basketball: Martin had a season-high 20 points in a narrow MDCC loss to Grace Academy.
KARA NEWELL, Shippensburg girls basketball: Newell had back-to-back 14-point games for the Lady Hounds in two Mid Penn Colonial Division games last week. She scored 14 against Greencastle-Antrim, then added another 14 points against Waynesboro.
CHASE NOVAK, McConnellsburg boys basketball: Novak led the Spartans with 24 points against Fannett-Metal, then scored 15 in back-to-back games as McConnellsburg improved its winning streak to 11 straight games.
ISUIWA OGHAGBON, Mercesrburg Academy girls basketball: Oghagbon put up a double-double against Gerstell Academy with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and also had six steals.
HUNTER SOWERS, James Buchanan boys basketball: Sowers produced back-to-back 16 point games, aiding the Rockets to a Mid Penn Colonial Division win over Boiling Springs.
KYLEIGH TEAL, Cumberland Valley Christian girls basketball: Teal had a solid week for the Lady Blazers, scoring a career-high 23 points in a big win over the Frederick Warriors, and added 16 points in a loss to Calvary.
PHILIP TORRES, Shippensburg wrestling: Torres scored a pin in the next-to-last bout to clinch a 35-28 win over Dallastown in the first round of the District 3 3A Team Championhips.
LUCAS WINGERT, Fannett-Metal boys basketball: Wingert scored 61 points through four games, including a 17-point performance in a narrow win over Everett.
