P.O. Honor Roll: Greencastle girls earn 3 Honor Roll nods


JENAY FAULKNER, Greencastle-Antrim girls basketball: Faulkner had a career night against East Pennsboro, scoring a career-high 38 points in a non-league victory. She scored more than 80 percent of the team’s points, including 33 straight for G-A. She also had six rebounds and seven steals.

SETH EGOLF, Waynesboro wrestling: Egolf earned a trip to the 195-pound championship round of the New Oxford tournament thanks to three pins - his fastest timing in at just 24 seconds in the second round.

NICK GARBINSKI, James Buchanan boys swimming: Garbinski claimed the 100 butterfly (56.88) and the 50 freestyle (22.48) against Shippensburg.

McKENZIE GELVIN, McConnellsburg girls basketball: Gelvin scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, against Southern Huntingdon to aid the Lady Spartans in a SHL/ICC win.

DYLAN GORDON, Southern Fulton boys basketball: Gordon racked up a double-double against Everett, scoring 31 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. He also led the team with four steals.

COLE GROVE, Chambersburg wrestling: Grove scored a pin in just 19 seconds over State College’s Sirawich Chanthaburanan at 138, helping the Trojans in a 35-30 MPC win over the Little Lions.

KYLE HOFFMAN, Waynesboro boys basketball: Hoffman earned a double-double against Northern York, putting up 18 points and 10 assists, to aid the Indians in a 69-67 Mid Penn Colonial Division victory.

BRYCEN HOHMAN, Forbes Road boys basketball: Hohman scored a career-high 29 points in a solid SHL win over Chestnut Ridge.

RACHEL KIMMEL, James Buchanan girls swimming: Kimmel won three events and aided the Lady Rocket 200 medley relay against Shippensburg. She won the 200 IM (2:20.78), 100 butterfly (1:07.64) and the 100 breaststroke in a district qualifying time of 1:07.73.

MIKELL McGEE, Fannett-Metal boys basketball: McGee broke yet another school record putting up an astounding 55 points against Chestnut Ridge. His career night was aided by a 24-of-30 performance from the foul line.

BRONWYNE MELLOTT, McConnellsburg girls basketball: Mellott produced a memorable performance against Southern Huntington, scoring 27 points on the way to reaching 2,000 points for her career.

MAKENNA MORRIS, Shippensburg girls swimming: Morris won a pair of events for the Lady Hounds in a Mid Penn Colonial Division win over James Buchanan to claim at least a share of the MPC title. She won the 200 freestyle (2:02.06) and the 500 freestyle (5:29.66).

YOMA ONOBRAKPEYA, Mercersburg boys basketball: Onobrakpeya led the Blue Storm with 17 points in a loss to Blair Academy.

JARED PINE, James Buchanan boys basketball: Pine racked up a career-high twice last week, scoring 20 points in a narrow win over Big Spring, then added 21 against Fannett-Metal.

MAGGIE STRAWOET, James Buchanan girls basketball: Strawoet scored a career-high 16 points in a non-league loss to Smithsburg, Md.

MADISON SWEITZER, Greencastle-Antrim girls basketball: Sweitzer was a big help on the defensive front for the Blue Devils in a Mid Penn Colonial Division win over Northern York, pulling down 16 rebounds.

MORGAN WAGAMAN, Greencastle-Antrim girls basketball: Wagaman had 14 points against James Buchanan, 12 against Northern York and added seven steals against the Polar Bears. She also scored her third double-figure performance of the week against Boiling Springs with 17 points.
