Each team had a girl hit a career-high in scoring Tuesday night when Cumberland Valley Christian hosted Shalom Christian in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference basketball game.

The Flames recorded a 51-25 victory.

While Brooke Emge led Shalom with 18 points and Grace Banfe added 13, Michaelena Hammond posted a career-high 11.

For the Blazers, Imani Harper scored a career-high 10 points.

Southern Fulton suffered its first league loss in boys basketball when it fell 63-60 in double overtime on the road at Everett.

Dylan Gordon piled up 29 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Indians, and Branden Lynch had 10 points. SF trailed by 10 before outscoring the Warriors 15-5 in the fourth period.

Jonah Stains (17) and Cameron Roseman (13) led Shalom Christian’s scoring in a 66-25 win over Cumberland Valley Christian.

Swimming

For the unbeaten Shippensburg girls, 96-89 winners over Northern York, Madison Osanitsch (200 freestyle, 100 backstroke) and Makenna Morris (200 IM, 500 free) each won two events and swam on the winning 200 free relay team that came within .44 of a second of the school record.

Elijah Zinn helped the Shippensburg boys beat Northern 100-83 by winning the 50 and 100 free events in District 3 qualifying times, and also swam on the winning 200 IM and 200 free relays.
