James Buchanan swept Bermudian Springs in dominant fashion Thursday in a non-league girls tennis match.

Rachel Martin defeated Brooke Yurick at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0, while Meridith Sanders and Maggie Strawoet each won their No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches handily.

No. 1 doubles team Abby Mackling and Megan Hoffeditz allowed Amanda Hoggman and Jena Shoemaker to score just one point in a victory, while Leah Wingert and Amber Clark won their No. 2 doubles match 6-0, 6-0. It was the fifth-straight win for the Rockets (5-1) and second shutout.

GIRLS TENNIS

Central Dauphin 5, Chambersburg 0: Chambersburg fell 5-0 to Central Dauphin in a Mid Penn Commonwealth match. Emma Guare and Caroline Hance in No. 2 and 3 singles each fell 6-2, 6-1, to Alexa Schwab and Attasia Header, respectively.
