H.S. SPORTS: Weekly honor roll


JAKE BOEHME, McConnellsburg boys soccer: Boehme racked up six goals and three assists in three games for the Spartans this week. He had a four-goal, two-assist performance against Southern Fulton.

RAFAEL BONILLA, Chambersburg boys soccer: Bonilla was one of many offensive forces for the Trojans this week. Bonilla had a goal against Waynesboro; he added an assists versus State College, and netted two goals and an assist in a narrow win over Cedar Cliff.

LAUREN CHING, Chambersburg girls volleyball: Ching was a big leader for the Trojans in three victories this week. Against CD East, she had 14 points and seven aces. She also added 11 digs and nine service points against Carlisle and had 12 points against Cedar Cliff. She totaled 92 assists this week.

LAUREN COLE, Greencastle-Antrim field hockey: Cole was the hero for the Blue Devils in a pair of victories this week. She scored the game winner in an overtime victory over Red Land and had the lone goal of the game in a 1-0 defeat of Bishop McDevitt. She also scored once in a shutout of Waynesboro.

CARTER EDMONDSON, Chambersburg football: Edmondson helped the Trojans to their first win of the season, a victory over Mifflin County. He finished with 96 rushing yards on 10 carries and scored two touchdowns.

KERI GEARHART, Greencastle-Antrim girls volleyball: Gearhart led the Blue Devil offense in all three matches this week. She totaled 34 kills in three matches this week.

CYRUS LEHMAN, Shalom Christian boys soccer: Lehman had a hand in at least one goal in each of the Flames' victories this week. He scored the game winner against Shenandoah Valley, and had a pair of assists against Grace Academy.

RACHEL MARTIN, James Buchanan girls tennis: Martin made it the finals of the Mid Penn Conference Class AA tournament and clinched a spot in the District 3 tournament. She won the first round, 6-0, 6-0, then won the semifinal, 7-5, 6-1.

DEREK MEASELL, Greencastle-Antrim football: Measell led the Blue Devils to a big victory over Hershey. He finished with 60 rushing yards and also had four catches for 97 yards. He scored twice.

BRIANNA MILEY, CV Christian girls volleyball: Miley led the Blazers to a pair of victories this week. She had 11 kills in a five-set match with Shenandoah Valley and smacked six in a shutout of Calvary.

CIARA ROSENBERGER, Waynesboro girls volleyball: Rosenberger was a force to be reckoned with this week for the undefeated Maidens. She had 13 kills and three blocks against JB, added 10 kills versus Shippensburg and smacked 11 kills against Dover.

CARLY SWOPE, McConnellsburg girls volleyball: Swope had a strong defensive week for the Spartans, including a 19-dig performance against Mercersburg. She also led the Spartans with eight digs and 17 digs against Hyndman and Everett, respectively.

CAMERON TINNER, Shippensburg football: Tinner was a key piece of the Greyhounds' defense in a win over Waynesboro. He finished with 12 tackles, including two for a loss.

ABBY YOURKAVITCH, Chambersburg girls cross country: Yourkavitch has another record under her belt. In a win over Central Dauphin that clinched the Mid Penn Commonwealth Division title, Yourkavitch broke Chambersburg's course record by 12 seconds by finishing in 18:25.
