H.S. SPORTS: Weekly honor roll


HALEY BRICKER, Shalom Christian girls volleyball: Bricker had 11 kills in both of the Flames' victories this week. She also added three blocks in a shutout of McConnellsburg.

ERIK ESPINOZA, Chambersburg boys soccer: Espinoza had a prolific offensive week for the Trojans in three victories. Espinoza scored twice in a big win over Red Land, had a goal against Greencastle-Antrim and scored a hat trick in a shutout of Mifflin County.

TYLER GRAHAM, Greencastle-Antrim football: Graham had a fine defensive effort for the Blue Devils in a narrow loss to East Pennsboro. He racked up nine tackles, which matched his total for the rest of the season.

PATRICK KEEFER, McConnellsburg boys soccer: Keefer kept up a strong scoring year with eight goals in four games this week. He had hat tricks in victories against both Northern Bedford and Shalom Christian.

MADDIE KLINE, Shippensburg field hockey: Kline lifted the Lady Hounds to a victory over Waynesboro by scoring twice and adding an assist. She also had one assist in a loss to Camp Hill.

CHASE MARTIN, Shalom Christian boys soccer: Martin scored the Flames' only goal in a defeat of Heritage Academy, and he also scored once in losses to McConnellsburg and Fannett-Metal.

WADE MILLS, Shippensburg football: Mills had one of his best efforts of the season in a win over Mechanicsburg. He caught four passes totaling 119 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns.

ROLAND MORRIS, Mercersburg Academy golf: Morris had a career day, firing a 2-under par 34 at Whitetail to lead the Blue Storm to the Independent Parochial School League championship. He won medalist honors by three strokes.

KAYLEE MOWERY, Chambersburg girls cross country: Mowery had the best cross country race of her career, placing third in 18:34 to help the Trojans to a second-place finish at the Pittsburg Central Catholic Invitational.

SOTO ONO, Cumb. Valley Christian boys soccer: Ono had a pair of two-goal games this week. He scored twice in a big win over Heritage Academy and also netted both goals for the Blazers in a 3-2 loss to Faith Christian.

KELLYN PERRY, McConnellsburg girls soccer: Perry had a fine effort in a 5-1 victory over Northern Bedford. She stopped 10 shots. Despite an overtime loss to Rockwood, Perry also managed 13 saves in that game.

JORDAN STOOPS, Waynesboro girls volleyball: It was another undefeated week for the Maidens, who were led by setter Stoops. She amassed 70 assists in a sweep of a tri-match and she also racked up 21 assists in a shutout of Boiling Springs.

CHASE VARNER, Southern Fulton boys soccer: The Indians had a pair of offensive showcases this week, and they were led by Varner. He had three goals and an assist against Northern Bedford then added another hat trick over Forbes Road.

ZION WARE, Shippensburg football: Ware had yet another standout week for the Greyhounds. He racked up 179 yards on a mere 15 carries and scored two touchdowns.
