SOFTBALL: Thursday's roundup

CHESTNUT RIDGE 12, MCCONNELLSBURG 3 >> McConnellsburg hit the ball quite well Thursday afternoon, but six errors and eight walks allowed Chestnut Ridge to walk away with a Sideling Hill League victory.

"We had 10 hits the last two games in a row," Spartan coach Junior Swope. "The girls are coming around hitting-wise, but the errors and walks killed us again."

The Spartans, who finished 1-18 (1-15 SHL) out-hit Ridge, 10-9.

Tara Cutshaw was the leader of the pack, going 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. Chelsea Danner and Carly Swope both finished 2-for-4.
