BOILING SPRINGS >> Greencastle-Antrim's softball team got back on track Thursday afternoon.

After losing three straight, the Blue Devils came back with a vengeance in a Mid Penn Colonial Division contest against Boiling Springs. They racked up 13 hits, got a fine outing from Liz Ward and needed just five innings to claim a 13-3 victory.

"It was definitely nice to get back on the winning track," Greencastle coach Mark DeCarli said. "Hopefully when we see Middletown (on Tuesday), we can play like we did tonight and carry some of this momentum into districts."

Alicen Hoover had the hot hand for the Blue Devils (12-7). She smacked a double and a triple and racked up five RBIs. Katie Gelsinger and Erin Bontrager both notched a pair of singles.

On the mound, Ward picked up her eighth win of the season. She allowed just three hits, while striking out four. She walked only one.
