ROCKWOOD 3, FANNETT-METAL 0 >> Fannett-Metal put a number in the win column on Friday, defeating Rockwood 3-0 in a non-league girls volleyball match.

"It was a well-deserved win," Tigers coach Keri Daniel said. "We played our game and set the tempo of the game. The girls finally started talking and worked together well. They are working hard, and hopefully this sets us up for a good week next week."

Taylor Coffman put up some big numbers for Fannett-Metal (1-11), putting down 18 kills, six assists and five aces to lead in each category. Kiana Patrick had 10 kills and four aces and Maci Bowen also rolled up 10 kills.

CUMB. VALLEY CHRISTIAN 3, CALVARY CHRISTIAN 0 >> Cumberland Valley Christian pulled out a close first-set win and went to sweep Calvary Christian 3-0 in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference match.

Briana Miley led the Blazers (8-10, 6-7 MDCC) in kills with six and added seven digs and three aces. Loryn Sanders had 19 assists and five kills and Mackenzie Householder led in digs with 10.

CVC coach Carole Rosenberry said, "The girls came out ready to play tonight and you could see it. They served and passed well, worked really hard and got the win."

Flames assistant coach Susan Goetz said, "After experiencing a loss Tuesday, we wanted to come out and play strong tonight. I was proud of how well the entire team played."

Bethany Blank was a terror at the service line for Shalom (12-2), serving for 12 consecutive points in the second game, including five of her seven aces. Blank also led in digs with seven.

Lexy Poe knocked down 11 kills, Kylie Eby had 23 assists and Blank added seven digs.
