GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Tuesday's roundup

HERITAGE 3, SHALOM CHRISTIAN 1 >> Shalom Christian battled with Heritage Academy all night but couldn't come out on top in its season and Mason-Dixon Christian Conference opener.

"While tonight didn't have the outcome we hoped for, it definitely helped us gauge what we need to improve on," Shalom coach Katie Gantz said. "I saw moments of just how good this team can be, and I'm excited."

Brooke Kuhns led the team with 10 kills, and Lexy Poe added eight kills and 16 digs. Kylie Eby had 28 assists, and Hailey Bricker had three blocks.
