Sideling Hill All-Stars: 15 area players make boys or girls soccer teams
Area players packed the Sideling Hill League soccer all-star teams, with 12 local boys making the roster. Three local girls were also selected for the SHL list.
For the boys, McConnellsburg earned four selections, with Jake Boehme, Nic Culler, Cody Parsons and Hunter Souders earning first-team accolades. Mikell McGee, Layton Hoffmann and Wyatt Thorne represent Fannett-Metal on the first team, while Chase Varner is the lone first-team honoree for Southern Fulton.
Patrick Keefer of McConnellsburg, Benji Voight from Southern Fulton and Fannett-Metal's Chris Rosenberry and Jamie Birgfeld earned honorable mention honors.
The girls all-star team includes two McConnellsburg players on first team – Alexis Mellott and Michaela Kendall, with Hannah McGarvey receiving an honorable mention.
