GIRLS LACROSSE: Sunday's roundup

ST. JAMES 16, MERCERSBURG 13 >> Mercersburg Academy and St. James were all square at halftime in the IPSL Girls Lacrosse Championship on Sunday, but the Saints put up nine goals in the second half to come away with a 16-13 win.

"Today simply was not our day," Blue Storm coach Katherine Dyson said. "We had more than enough opportunities to come back, but the girls had a hard time finding the net on attack."

Amanda Broyles had five goals to lead Mercersburg (5-10), and Sophia Garibaldi had three goals and one assist. Devon Stuzin and Alyson Kinney both had two goals, and Ellie Clark also scored.
