CHAMBERSBURG 25, HARRISBURG CHRISTIAN 4 >> Chambersburg swept to a 15-2 halftime lead over Harrisburg Christian and cruised to a 25-4 non-league verdict on Saturday.

"Everyone worked really well as a team today and we saw a lot of younger girls stepping up and making plays," Trojan coach Katie Feairheller said.

Emily Glennon scored four goals and five assists to lead Chambersburg (3-8). Hayley Simmons and Kendyl Stewart also had four goals each, while Abby Wilmot, Kaylea Garman, Hannah Raines, Cameron Stouffer and Mackenzie Miller each had two.

Wilmot ruled in draw controls with nine, and Lexi Stoner added four. Wilmot, Stewart and Avery Rife each had three groundballs.

Feairheller said, "Emily Glennon did an outstanding job of hitting the cutters and netted four goals herself. Abby Wilmot was able to dominate the draw control and keep the ball at the offensive end."

Goalie Alyssa Boock made one save and also scored a goal.

HILL 13, MERCERSBURG 12 >> Mercersburg held a two-goal halftime lead but couldn't sustain it in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League loss to Hill.

The Blue Storm (3-7, 1-3 MAPL) jumped out to an 8-6 halftime lead, but the Blues outscored Mercersburg 7-4 in the second half to pull out the win.

"The girls fought hard in the heat today, playing with heart and dictating the direction of play in the first half," Mercersburg coach Katherine Dyson said. "The game came down to the last seven minutes of play, making it a challenge to hold on."

Sophia Garibaldi led the Storm with four goals, and Ellie Clark and Amanda Broyles both had hat tricks. Devon Stuzin also added two goals, and Alyson Kinney chipped in with two assists.
