CROSS COUNTRY: Wednesday's roundup


SOUTHERN FULTON STRUGGLES IN QUAD MEET >> Southern Fulton's cross country team went up against some stiff competition on Wednesday, and the boys and girls combined to go 1-5 in a non-league quad meet.

The boys (4-2) earned the lone victory of the day, beating Penn Cambria 23-36. They fell to Bedford, 18-37, and Central Cambria, 15-48.

The girls (3-4) had two close defeats to Bedford (26-29) and Penn Cambria (27-30), but Central Cambria placed eight girls in the top 10 to win 15-50.

On the boys side, Jonah Golden placed ninth with a time of 19:28 for the top finish for SF. Dylan Enser (21:04) and Logan Beatty (21:07) finished 19th and 20th, respectively.

For the girls, Emily Bradshaw was the top finisher in 25:42. She placed 20th. Madison Baker was close behind in 22nd at 26:22, and Lindsey Palmer was 25th with a time of 27:45.
