Mercersburg 61, Front Royal Flames 29: After a tough loss in overtime Sunday, the Mercersburg girls basketball team looked to rebound in the final game of the regular season, with a non-league win over the Front Royal Flames on Senior Night.

The Blue Storm came out strong, racking up a 27-4 lead in the first period, with Molly Taylor at the helm, scoring 13 points in the first eight minutes. She completed her final game at home with 24 points and six steals.

Mercersburg (14-3) worked the boards in the first half with Sarah Lyman, another senior, collecting all of her 13 rebounds in the first half alone. She finished with 10 points to complete a double-double.

"It was nice to see our seniors play well on Senior night,” Mercersburg coach Katie LaRue said. "I was also happy that we got some good game experience for players who don't always get as much playing time."
