Cody Gustafson, Forrest Rhyne earn all-state nods

The accolades continued for Shippensburg's Cody Gustafson and Waynesboro's Forrest Rhyne, who were named to their respective Pennsylvania Football Writers All-State Team.

For Gustafson, who was also named the P.O. Player of the Year and the Offensive MVP of the Mid Penn Colonial Division, it is his first all-state recognition. Despite Waynesboro moving up to Class 5A, Rhyne earned the honor for the second straight year.

Standing at 6-foor-2, 165 pounds, Gustafson was one of five wide receivers chosen from Class 4A.

He finished his senior season with 85 catches, 1,577 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. Gustafson holds the Greyhounds' school record for career catches (170) and career receiving yards (2,862).

Rhyne, a Villanova commit, was named to last year 4A all-state team, and was recognized again at linebacker after a 112-tackle season. Seventy-four of those were solo tackles and 21 were for a loss.

Offensively, Rhyne rushed for 372 yards and five touchdowns on 67 carries.
