Northern defeats James Buchanan, 56-6

By the end of the first half on Friday night, Northern York's football team had built up a sizable lead over James Buchanan.

The Rockets simply couldn't overcome the deficit and suffered a 56-6 loss in Mid Penn Colonial Division.

Despite the loss, JB (0-6, 0-3 MPC) did break its shutout streak, scoring its first points since Week 2. Midway through the fourth quarter, James Buchanan looked poised to punt the ball.

But instead, the Rockets got a little tricky, faked the punt, and Cormac Houpt took it to the house for a 67-yard touchdown.

Northern (3-3, 1-2 MPC) racked up 280 yards on the ground and were led by Steven Yurchison, who gained 79 yards on five carries, and Kyle Swartz's 70 yards on 11 carries.
